Joining the Optimal You Team: FAQs
Do I need to be UK-based?
Yes. All positions at Optimal You, whether office-based or remote, require you to be a UK resident with the permanent right to work in the United Kingdom.
For our medical and clinical roles, candidates must also hold an active UK professional registration (such as GMC or NMC) and a valid license to practice. This is essential for clinical indemnity and regulatory compliance. For non-clinical roles where specific medical qualifications are not required, UK residency remains a mandatory requirement for all applicants.
Is Optimal You a fully remote company?
It depends on the role. Our Clinical and Medical positions are designed to be fully remote, providing our clinicians with the flexibility to work from anywhere in the UK. However, our General Administration and Operations teams are based out of our head office in Derby, allowing for close-knit collaboration and on-site support.
What is the recruitment process like?
We aim to keep our process transparent and efficient. It begins with a thorough review of your CV by our team. If your profile is a match, the journey typically follows these steps:
- Initial Screening: A telephone interview to discuss your experience and alignment with the Optimal You mission.
- Shortlist Stage: If you are shortlisted, the format depends on the role. Remote candidates will join us for a video call, while candidates for office-based roles will be invited to meet the team at our Derby headquarters.
- Final Stages: For technical, clinical, or senior leadership positions, there may be additional steps such as a second interview or a competency-based assessment to ensure we are the right fit for one another.
Will I be kept up to date during the recruitment process?
Absolutely. We value the time you take to apply to Optimal You. Here is how we communicate for all open positions:
- Initial Application: Every candidate will receive a confirmation email once their CV is submitted, letting you know we have safely received your application and are reviewing it.
- Shortlisted Candidates: If you are shortlisted for a telephone or face-to-face interview, we will provide you with a clear timescale for when you can expect to hear back regarding the next steps.
- Final Outcome: We believe in closing the loop. Regardless of the outcome, we will notify you via email whether or not you have been successful for the specific role you applied for.
How long do you keep my CV?
We hold speculative applications in our talent pool for 12 months.
